Gardenia Yellow
Gardenia Yellow is extracted from the gradenia fruit of the madder family. The pigment mainly consists of crocin and crocetin.
Properties: Gardenia Yellow, slight bitter, is a brown powder easily dissolvable in water and alcohol, but not in fat solvent. In water solvent, its bright yellow color does not vary according to PH. Resistance to light and heat is high in neutral and faintly alkaline mediums. It has a strong ability to color proteins and carbohydrates. It is applicable to the human-body and has been formulated to a national standard (standard number GB7912-87).
